1. What is Pregnyl?

2. Effects and indications for taking Pregnyl 5000 IU

2.1 The effect of the drug Pregnyl 5000 IU Pregnyl 5000 drug with the main ingredient is Chorionic gonadotropin which is a gonadotropic hormone derived from the placenta and has the following effects:
Treatment of polycystic ovaries, non-ovulating eggs or eggs Clustered shedding makes it difficult to conceive in women. In other words, drugs that help stimulate ovulation. The drug is indicated for use in infertile women who are undergoing IUI/IVF artificial conception methods. For men, Pregnyl is used to treat hypogonadism when the testicles do not secrete sex hormones, delaying puberty. In undescended testicle syndromes not due to anatomical obstruction, infertility in cases is due to poor sperm production. In some cases, it can be used with other hormone drugs to treat infertility. 2.2 Indications for use Indications for use of Pregnyl 5000 IU for both men and women:
For men:
Infertility; Symptoms of hypogonadism due to decreased gonadotropin hormone; Delayed puberty due to pituitary function; An undescended testicle is not due to obstruction. For women:
Infertility due to failure to ovulate or weak mature follicles; Stimulation of the ovaries increases in a controlled manner to prepare the follicles for proper ovulation.

3. Dosage and correct usage of Pregnyl 5000 IU

3.1 Pregnyl dosage 5000 IU Female:
Stimulating ovulation: 5,000 – 10,000 IU. After treatment with other obstetric drugs can be repeated 2-3 times from 1,000 – 3,000 IU maintain this dose for 9 days to support the corpus luteum. Patients undergoing IVF treatment: 5,000 – 10,000 IU, injected after the last dose of other obstetric support from 30-40 hours. Men:
Infertility treatment: 1000-2000 IU injected 2-3 times/week in combination with Puregon 150IU x 3 times/week and used for at least 3 months. Treatment of hypogonadism: 1000-2000 IU intramuscularly 2-3 times/week. Treatment of delayed puberty and decreased pituitary function: 1500IU 2-3 times/week, for a minimum of 6 months. Treatment of undescended testicles: 2 times/week for 6 weeks. Then it can be repeated 2-3 months after the last injection. For each age, there will be an indicated dose: Children < 2 years old: 250 IU; Children from 2 – < 6 years old: 500 – 1000 IU; Children 6 years and older: 1500 IU 3.2 How to take Pregnyl 5000 IU The drug is initially contained in 2 separate ampoules, before use need to mix these 2 ampoules together. The drug is administered by subcutaneous or intramuscular injection. Therefore, patients cannot self-inject at home, but must go to medical centers for support from doctors and medical staff.
